It boils water. And it looks red. Yay
Update: the tea filter broke and thus the auto shutoff as well (fix this with a towel on the top of the kettle). There’s a fragile plastic rod that attaches to either a string or a spring that controls the tea filter’s mounting. It broke for me and just flopped downwards instead of shutting the kettle. Managed to get a replacement, but I wouldn’t get this exact model.
Update 2: my roommate closed the lid a little too hard and it shattered the glass. If you are shopping for a kettle this one is a little too cheap.


The moment I understood that I belonged here is when I look at a post about a kettle and immediately go
“oooh…that is friggin’ nice!” with no one else in the room with me.
You belong. That squid kettle belongs in my kitchen, though, mail it to me, I don’t care if it doesn’t like my national voltage.
