As week 12 draws to a close, I’d like to remind everyone of the postseason seeding rules, draft order determination, and various other league administration deadlines.
Postseason Seeding
The postseason consists of two division champions and four wildcards. (This has always shaken out to include two teams from each division, but it doesn’t have to.) The division champions get first round byes.
The postseason is seeded by:
- Overall Record
- Most Points For
- Head to Head Record
- Most Points Against
Rule Change Propositions and Voting
Please submit all rule change proposals on the official forum at lemmy.inbutts.lol/c/rosaparks. One post per rule change, please. The deadline to submit rule changes for the 2025 season is Wednesday, December 17th.
Determining Draft Order
In 2023, we voted to determine draft order for teams that did not make the playoffs using Max Points For. If you do not make the playoffs, your final record is only used as a tiebreaker when determining your draft order.
Your Max Points For can be found by tapping “details” next to the “Standings” in the mobile app. I will be pulling the official Max Points For after Week 14 scores finalize on Thursday, December 11th.
The draft is seeded by:
- Teams that missed the playoffs
- Lowest Max Points For
- Worst Record (tiebreaker)
- Most Points Against (tiebreaker)
- Teams that made the playoffs
- Wildcard Losers (by Lowest Max Points For)
- Division Round Losers (by Lowest Max Points For)
- Runner-up
- Champion
