Monarez, an infectious disease specialist who was confirmed as CDC chief just a month ago, was fired on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Department of Health and Human Services, which gave no reason for the departure.
However, the apparently ousted director has refused to be removed. Her lawyers claim that while the White House has said that she is “not aligned with the president’s agenda”, only the president himself can dismiss her.
“As a presidential appointee, senate confirmed officer, only the president himself can fire her,” Monarez’s lawyer Mark Zaid posted on Bluesky.

The rest of the country needs to revolt. Easiest way is for everyone to just stop paying taxes. Even if just the dems/left did it, it would absolutely cripple the administration. And there would be absolutely nothing the government could do to punish anyone, long term, if half the tax payers just stopped paying taxes. The government would just crumble.
And if it ever got to point where the left just stopped paying taxes, you can bet greedy ass republicans, who already don’t want to pay taxes – well they would, no doubt, stop paying taxes as well. All it would take is for a critical mass of people to come together, and make the resolute decision to follow through on this and then it would be game over.
No war needed. No bloodshed needed. Problem solved.
I really don’t know why people aren’t screaming from the roof tops for this to happen. Instead people just keep talking about the second amendment, which is almost completely useless considering what people are up against with the police and the military in the US. Its so much easier to just defund that army which has been set upon its own people than it is to literally fight it.
