U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that U.S. colleges would struggle without Chinese students, amid a backlash from his base after he suggested he could let 600,000 Chinese college students into the country as part of trade talks with the economic rival.

    Booohoo the colleges that charge too much for tuition and spend it all on sports and upgrades and beauty.

    Meanwhile the US citizens struggle without healthcare, food, education, and jobs. But the colleges are stable, thank the gods!

      To be fair , if foreign students are coming and paying tuition, that does provide some small benefit on the jobs front as both the money the college then spends and that spent by the students in the area around the school should create demand that requires a workforce to fill.

      College sports are typically a net income for the university.

      So are foreign students because they are typically charged higher tuition.

      But we wouldn’t need sports or international students to subsidize our tuition if it got more funding from the government…
