aturday night, Fairview High School held its annual homecoming dance, but this year, the celebration was the subject of controversy.

Prior to the dance, upperclassmen students voted a transgender girl, Sammi, as this year’s homecoming queen.

It’s a vote that didn’t sit well with some in the community, sparking what some are calling harassment on social media directed at the queen, students and school staff.

“There was a lot of hate saying that Sammi, being a transgender individual, was taking the spot from somebody who was born female,” said Logan Thompson, student council secretary. “They were behaving erratically due to the results of our homecoming court.”

“There was a lot of hate saying that Sammi, being a transgender individual, was taking the spot from somebody who was born female,” said Logan Thompson, student council secretary.

    …

Dozens came out the meeting, leaving standing room only. Zero spoke out against Sammi being crowned queen, while Thompson spoke for the dozens who came in support.

That’s the sort of behavior that should get you doxxed.
