Multiple governments dumped billions of taxes into r&d, probably half on fomo and half on bad projections. Yeah that’s true, if you want to expose the file system to them to add/remove ROMs it’s probably not the right option without a dual boot or USB stick with another distro on it.

Another option to consider is batocera if they are going to use it exclusively for retro gaming and you want to keep the UI simple and easy to use. Dos x86 emulation and a bunch of other emulators including scumm, consoles, handhelds, etc.

That’s awesome! James Mangold directing sounds great too. If it’s not ‘Saga of’ then letting them do their own standalone thing sounds like the next best thing.

Yeah both of these games are amazing, some occasional rough edges but overall just a great experience

There were a bunch of books and comic books from my youth I didn’t think would get adapted but there’s a DC The Ray animated series so I guess everything is at least a maybe.

A full Saga of Swamp Thing movie series would be wonderful. There’s no way Alan Moore signs off on any more movie adaptations though.

I suspect there was also a demographic and normative shift when a bunch of people left when they dropped 3rd party apps and sided with advertisers over moderators. I think the average age dropped along with the shift and the next September after 3rd party apps were dropped in the summer.

There were similar changes after the large increase in users from the digg migration; subreddits split, norms around what gets votes and moderated changed for a broader audience on the larger subreddits, more general topic and current pop events instead of more science and tech, more memes and videos instead of article and plain text, etc.

One of my favorite horror movies of the '10s, pairs well with The Guest for a double feature. Also not to dox myself too much but a bunch of shots were from the neighborhood I grew up in so it added a bit of nostalgia and uneasiness to the viewings I enjoyed.

Depends which d&d alignment you’re shooting for but I think empathy is necessary for ethics and moral reasoning. Reciprocity is a good moderator to prevent being a door mat, treat people how they treat you.
