Ok, now I’m considering getting AppleTV.
Storage costs is the biggest hurdle for decentralized video platforms. I wonder how instances will handle that.
Getting the BTS fanbase to switch platforms is huge and can essentially get you millions of users in an instant. I wish Mastodon was in the picture though.
Yeah it really actually only takes a couple of big users moving to Mastodon to cause a domino effect of a mass migration. I hope more people with tons of followers start moving over.
I have no background on this, but assuming it’s called as such because it came from north america, how was it introduced? Via ships like rats?
There’s an app called Loom that is supposed to do this as a major feature. It’s still in an early dev stage though so still not super polished.
Custard flan. Pure yolks make it so much creamier compared to eggs with whites included.
I’ve always taken HIPAA as a compliance standard to protect health data from fraud, theft, etc., and not as a privacy standard. So its focus is more on security than privacy.
I haven’t really followed her technicals specifically, but it seems to me like the usual referee problem in the NBA/WNBA. Refs are getting more ridiculous with calling technicals for the slightest expression of frustration, even if not directed at a specific person. The more popular you are though, you get some leeway. And if there’s a spotlight on some perceived bias specifically to her, I’m sure the refs will adjust and hold back accordingly.
Just in time, as I’m working on a new EP. lol. Subbed!
Ok the push notification pop up started to piss me off halfway down lol. But yeah, this is a cool demonstration.
Like the “Come to Brazil!” comments on every music video or concert on youtube.
I use Thunder on IOS, but since it’s cross-platform and assuming the experience is the same, I recommend Thunder.
Pot meets kettle.
That sounds delicious.
Mastodon (microblogging, follow users) and Lemmy (forum, follow topics) cater to different kinds of users. I don’t subscribe to personalities, I subscribe to discussion topics, that’s why I’m on lemmy and not mastodon.
That’s cool. Gives people who have the talent/skill but no country to call home yet the chance to compete.
I’m more concerned about scalability. Hosting video gets expensive pretty quickly once people start signing up and using it.
