2 months agothe bots won looooooong ago, they’ve been faster and more accurate at the captchas for quite a while. there’s even browser plugins that automatically solve the audio captcha.
this is just biometric data collection, because they know that many people will use it if it’s presented to them, especially if it’s less tedious that clicking 15 slowly disappearing traffic lights. the average joe isn’t doing a bypass with a virtual camera.
because sadly, manipulation works. these companies spend millions on research on how to most effectively force this brain poison onto as many people as possible, they’d not be doing this if they didn’t see returns.
