That’s… not Little Richard.
That’s… not Little Richard.
I visited about 25 years ago and can confirm it was like living in a different century.
I don’t know the guy personally but he really doesn’t seem to have any redeeming qualities. He’s a vile propagandist who’ll say and do anything to push the agenda of his master. If Tucker had his way the history books would mention him on the same page as Goebbels.
His bank account isn’t hurting but he’s basically fellating authoritarians while billionaires sit in the corner and watch at this point.
The bad part is Tuckypoo was born rich. His dad was the U.S. ambassador to the Seychelles and his stepmom is Caroline Swanson (the same Swanson TV dinner people) and the niece of Senator William J. Fulbright. He went to a private boarding school in Switzerland, he didn’t need to sell his soul to eat and shelter his family or anything. He just did it out of greed and soulessness.
or cryofreezing themselves
I’ll help, I have a large chest-type freezer. I bet we can fit 2-3 billionaires in there. Probably a half dozen if we process them first, it’s a start!
Stewart pretty much destroyed his career the first time. He went from being a pretty well-respected CNN talking head to a corporate shill with a primetime slot on FOX to now being a blatant autocratic toadie and billionaires lapdog on a failed social media network.
As someone who saw the episode of Crossfire when it aired, it’s been an interesting fall.
Yeah Sega was way ahead of its time. Dreamcasts had a built-in modem so you could go online and access (the very new) game services, it also included a browser able to access (at the time) most websites.
It would be beautiful if he just handed the keys over to a true believer when it’s time. Just a quality, stand up person who already has a pocket full of cash and just wants to help gamers get games and indie devs distribute them without squeezing every drop of profit they can at every step.
edit: it’d be even beautifuler if he turned it over to a trust managed by a panel of elected employee representatives
I’d be surprised if Bill had written anything substantial in decades tbh.
Magazine is just the nomenclature in the fediverse, this is a “magazine” not a subreddit.
I back up pretty much everything, I guess a lot of the confusion is based on my phrasing, I was considering a RAID in your closet a physical backup while obviously the media there is being stored digitally.
Do you not back that thing up once you have it?
edit: it’s assumed you pirated it initially as this is a piracy magazine.
It’s weird to me that apparently nobody backs up their pirated stuff and just assumes they’ll able to torrent it again in 10 years.
That’s what in saying, you store it on media you control. If you need to migrate it every decade or so to avoid loss/degradation so be it. Unless you physically have that data it’s not yours and access can be lost at any time.
How do you backup the game you pirated so you’ll still have it in 20 years.
I didn’t say anything about purchasing the media only that a physical copy is the only way to ensure you retain access. Online checks are trivial to bypass (see: them being bypassed constantly.)
How do you back up the games you’ve pirated if not to a physical media? Further “physical media” doesn’t mean “only dvds” but means “hdds” as well. Some of you people are just so eager to argue and correct someone you don’t even think about the comment you’re replying to, have fun with that.
edit: I’m not arguing against piracy, I’m arguing for making backups and not assuming that torrent (or infrastructure to activate software) will always be there. Unless you control the data (physically) it’s not yours.
Physical media is the only way to ensure you retain access to it.
Let me guess, every time a user breaks your app you blame the network don’t you? Typical dev.
IRC is a completely open source protocol that anyone can develop clients and servers for, it’s been around for decades and has an army of dedicated fans and devs.
Discord is a program owned by a private company that everyone is using to chat while the company slowly implements pricing and walls their proverbial garden off.
Or cost trade offs, not necessarily sub-par.
I can do fantastic siding and tile work personally and would be exceptionally hesitant to pay someone to do it. My FIL has done concrete work for 30 years, why would I pay someone to do it?
