You can find BG3 for a little less than $55USD right now. I strongly feel that the effort, labor, care, and love that clearly went into it from the entire team is well worth that given just how remarkable the game actually is. Secondly, considering just how much of a middle finger the game is to the standard AAA battle pass/dlc nickel-and-diming that is common in the industry, I’m very happy to support Larian.
We should be enthusiastically supporting good game making, I think.
That being said, $55 is not nothing for what amounts to a luxury purchase and I completely understand not being in the position to nonchalantly drop that much on those kinds of purchases.

I basically do the same. I buy a majority of albums as records from my favorite bands or just bands I want to support.
