Not going to X (or any wrappers) but I’m curious what “supported games” means. Because I would expect that it’s actually “games that support timeline markers” like how they integrate rich presence. Devs could just use a new header and implement this nifty feature.
I think 20 of the world’s best drivers should almost always equal good racing. Something must be wrong if that isn’t true. Change the tracks, the cars, the regulations, the expectations of fans… is this a controversial idea?
Because I get how current F1 can have bad races. It all makes sense when you think about the big picture. The closeness of margins, the tires, the dirty air, safety. But if you step back it starts to feel absurd. If we’re going to believe that these guys are the best then we have to believe that they’re being wasted.

I meant that we shouldn’t have to have so many regulations conducive to tech trickling down to consumers now that that cycle is less of the profit margin. They’re making more and more simply from occupying a grid slot, some of that should come back to fans in the form of rules for racing’s sake.
My initial thoughts are simply that active aero seems like a thing the pinnacle of motorsport should have. I hope they can make it safe and not eat up cost caps.
The engines being so weak still feels bad though. With each team selfishly guarding their stake and turning a more straightforward profit can’t we afford to divorce F1 constructor development a bit from the real world? Like damn man they’re going to keep teams out, nerf the sport to make it cheap, make bigger and bigger profits, and everything needs to help their business outside F1? Can’t some stuff be about the racing and passion?

Burning CDs. That’s how I know most people didn’t know how to do it, or want to put in the effort. Most of the time when a law sounds silly for banning something when alternatives exist, it’s because people themselves are silly and don’t actually go for the alternatives at the same rate as they would the banned thing. Ie gun accessory bans, ninja star bans.

I would not want to sacrifice my time and energy making a product better just so a corporation can make more money or earn more kudos. And the higher ups definitely don’t want to invest more than they have to. Minecraft is just a product now.
