I wish this were the worst of my problems.
Just a guy. Just a fella. Subject to say silly stuff.

I wish this were the worst of my problems.
I joined Plex a little at the end of 23, but only really started adding content early last year. I’m sort of glad I didn’t buy the lifetime pass, given the recent changes.
I’ve been able to share it with so many people (including tech-unfriendly family members). I guess we’ll just have to see what happens next with Plex, unless jellyfin becomes easier to set up for us less experienced home server folks…
They’re rocks, Hank.
Wow, just bought some fly traps for the garden today! Can’t wait to share them. Subscribed!
I’m out of the loop, what did Devolver do?
Can confirm that Cassette Beasts is a great game. I haven’t been able to try the new update yet but I’m looking forward to it!
I hope they get their money back from getting shafted during the Direct.
He’s probably my favorite director at Nintendo. Played hundreds of hours of the original, too. Hopefully the original makes a comeback in their new GameCube NSO lineup.
I wonder if you’d be able to set up a rule in something like Tasker (Play store link, sorry) to activate the tunnel when you’re off your home network. I haven’t used Tasker in years though, sorry.
That sounds like where I’m screwing up. I’ll sit down with a VM and do that soon. Thanks for your help!
Thank you for this. I’ve also just sadly discovered that Google adds Adobe-specific DRM to their books. I was fiddling with Calibre plugins to remove the DRM and couldn’t get it to work :/
Next is Amazon. This guide looks great.
This is where I’m at: a Synology running a few services like Plex for my family and friends. I’m hoping to learn more and help us all move from walled gardens even further. Some of Synology’s software can feel a little clunky to use but generally I’ve found it to work great despite my limited knowledge.
Shit, you’re right!
I second this opinion. The parties responsible absolutely need to be held accountable but due to the severe nature of the crime you absolutely have to protect yourself.
My devices are cringely named after songs in Haken’s discography.
Desktop is MESSIAH. Laptop is AFFINITY. Phone is NIGHTINGALE. Steam Deck is SHAPESHIFTER. Router (and its WAP) is PORTALS. My NAS is the only one that falls outside of this, it’s generically (last name)NetNAS. I should rename it, but I don’t want to break anything 😅
Eta: changed my NAS’ hostname is ARCHITECT. Nothing broke! Yay for me.
Especially when you compare it to New Leaf’s 13 million units sold, and was supported for way longer than Horizons.
Likely answer is just some fucking assholes. There are some real garbage people in gaming communities.
The jokes in BL/BL2 felt like their own unique jokes, contained within the Borderlands universe, because they were. BL3 had a lot of reference humor, which can be fine, but some of the memes they referenced were 3-4 years out of date and the jokes fell flat and made us groan.
The trailer for 4 was promising, and I only realized on a second watch that it contained no jokes, which honestly I appreciated. I think it has potential, as long as Randy Shitford doesn’t do anything to fuck it up.
Agreed. I have a dozen or so people using my Plex. There is no conceivable way I’m going to get my less tech literate friends and family to use jellyfin, much less am I going to find a way to set it up for remote access with my limited knowledge. Plex is just too convenient right now.
