If they can make a mod to make Astarian fuck off, I’m in!

In short, it’s shit. Way below usual Bethesda quality. Their engine is patently not up to the task of representing their game ideas. It’s a pity because there is some good stuff there. But not the main quest. It’s genuinely awful. I gave up the game when I discovered what the main quest was, it’s that stupid
I like Java but Oracle are pricks. Thank god for OpenJDK
I want to play but not with a rootkit
Oh whatever. I genuinely don’t get the point you’re making but go ahead and be a dick
That’s a gross thing to say about an issue you don’t experience
Do you have any experience of dysphoria?
Probably that’s why I made the comment
Sounds like an American take on a British take on the Troubles
The people who actually make the games and take all the risk, you mean?
“possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.”
It is. You ascribe an argument to me that I wasn’t making. It’s a strawman.
Irrelevant. Being good and popular doesn’t make them not a monopoly
And valve have admitted they’re making more profit than anyone else in the space. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be allowed a profit, I’m saying there’s an argument that they (and Apple via the Apple store) are taking too much from the work of others
The existence of competition doesn’t make it not a monopoly. Nor anticompetittive behaviour
30% is a huge cut. Epic takes 12%
When valve was establishing steam, 30% was justified. They had to invest in the product. They took a risk. They don’t have to now and they are profiteering.
The earliest one I bought was an Amiga 500 which I still think is one of the greatest machines of all time. I loved the community - really creative. I also own a ZX81 which was the first machine I ever did any programming on
