I want to better understand this because the sky is clearly a specific color that has been there since the beginning.

How did proto humans not look up at the sky and considered in their feeble brains, “everything above the ground is this very unique color. It’s different from the ground, and the plants.”

And you know what, i still like my graphical fidelity, but thats what the PC is for. Nintendo consoles are for the great gameplay loops they always manage to develop into there games.

Thanks for the list. I’ve been playing indie games for about 15 years and the retro inspiration has always been the best part about them. Graphics never mattered and it meant that gameplay was put first, just like the old days.

I thought the C buttons acted as your right thumb stick on classic shooters. I don’t have the N64 on NSO so I don’t know how they map those.

It’s going to be interesting that’s for sure. The situation with Sony is not something I expected to hear. I also had no idea investor were lukewarm on future PlayStations. But after what’s happening at MS, it does make sense.

I think the future is going to be closer to a PC world. Look at all the 3rd party handhelds coming out that can play top of the line games. Sony and MS see the writing on the wall and I do believe the days of PlayStation and Xbox are probably numbered. Though atleast one or two more generations are still likey.

Nintendo has a lot to worry about with Switch 2 as well. It makes sense why they held back it’s release for more games. It’s not a special idea anymore and they know it too. Nintendo will be the last one to hold out before special consoles are a thing of the past.

Obviously this is all just an educated guess and I could be completely wrong. Just a hunch is all.

Great news. it’s also nice to see they are more accurately counting active users with the latest update. I still think Lemmy will surpast a million active users with in a year or two.

Yeah this is a broad over exaggeration of the situation. Also using 4chan to drive a point is so over done to the point its a meme in itself.

People who keep touting the point that defederating from Meta means we are cutting people off from fediverse are picturing this situation wrong. Based on what I’ve read, people see this little island of people compared to the mainland where there will be physical barrier because shouldnt tear down the bridge.

But the net isnt like that. People have just as much freedom creating a Threads account as they do a Lemmy or Mastodon account.

And don’t say that the fediverse is too difficult to understand for the average person. That kind of rhetoric is what will push people away.

Everyone needs to be patient with growth. It’s not going to happen in a year just like it took years for reddit to grow. I do believe that more and more people will be interested in the fediverse once they realize that corporate oversight is non existent here. And that can only happen if we keep the major instances disconnected from Meta or any for profit company.
