Avatar is a lemming in bed because this account wasn’t intended to be used except for creating communities… and then my instance announced it was closing.

Ah, why are the black squirrels not mapped? They are slowly taking over from the greys apparently.
“Oh, perhaps we could assign it to the actual Indian Ocean, as that’s quite a persuasive 💰 argument 💰.”
“… Or perhaps NASA would like to administer it on behalf of the aliens on Io until we make contact…”

Ha ha, yeah, I forgot the photo would have needed to be taken!
Somebody’s been recording home movies!
I don’t think automatic crossposting is a good idea. However some way to “boost” Mastodon posts onto Lemmy would be good. Mbin has a way of boosting but can’t assign a magazine. Something like that may work though. Mastodon can already boost Lemmy posts.
!boardgames@sopuli.xyz is the one I normally use now feddit.de is down. It seems a bit dead though.
!boardgames@lemmy.world is active as per your criteria.
I’ve watched the first one - it’s alright! I thought it might be US-centric but David Braben is in it.
I’m not sure if they have a universal app, it’s definitely available on Roku devices.
There are a lot of people I follow who moved to Mastodon, that now appear to have moved to Bluesky (I’m seeing posts on there from people I know used to post on Mastodon).
I’m not sure why. If I move over it’ll be because everybody else is there. At the moment I’m not using it much.
It certainly ended somewhere between 2001 and 2007. I remember where I was living when they stopped it.
When mail came twice a day, I used to get my post in the afternoon, consistently, and none in the morning, ever.
When they changed it, my post started turning up earlier, in the morning.
So it was weirdly an improvement. It seems strange now that there was ever two deliveries a day, given I get one letter a week at most now. (parcels are another matter, but again you don’t need Royal Mail delivering parcels twice a day even if you get a lot, so the fact they did this with letters is weird)
Reminds me of the guy who bought the last ever Big Mac in Iceland, and put it on display and it didn’t go mouldy.
Don’t know how true that is but it’s a good story!
Thanks for looking at this and updating, appreciated.

I set up an account on neodb.social recently. Other than the fact if you search for anything it’s all in Chinese, you can search for URLs and get the English versions.

Yes, and you definitely used to be able to change the behaviour to stop it highlighting everything, as at one point that was doing my head in so I changed it. I find it easier now just to click twice, rather than trying to find a setting which stops it highlighting everything.
