XSLT is basically used for one thing - styline RSS feeds so they look like HTML
(yes I know the XSLT lovers point to data sources that went all in on XML in the early 2000s then never got the budget to update, but in the first approximation that’s the use case)
Seeing as RSS is basically as popular/well known as XML, I doubt this tantrum will move the needle in any way.

I think it’s more that someone made a Bayesian analysis and concluded with 60% certainty or something that it was a lab leak. Can’t remember the link now but I believe it was widely discussed at the time.

I do compare the mods to Robespierre and co which might be seen as less of a compliement. I do believe they’re working under a lot of pressure and it’s hard to make decisions that please everyone.

This is a weird side-effect of Lobste.rs culture, it really dislikes being just a collection of links on the front page that increase traffic. And there have been multiple attempts to place links there via deception. Plus the community will give you hell (and flag your submissions as spam) unless you do the needful and comment a bit.
That said it’s really easy to work around by just making good content, having an RSS feed, and letting the community discover your stuff and post it. Or ask a buddy with an account to do it for you. But that in its turn requires actually learning how the community works.
