The old Alan Rickman movie Truly madly deeply is great. Definitely not tacky. Probably wholesome? I definitely felt more happy than sad when credits rolled, and better for having watched it.

Deb Perelman’s blog is incredible. She’s a delight, and any recipe I’ve tried has been a hit.

Planes, trains, and automobiles is a classic. John Candy is so adorable.

I think Mega Man 2 (1988, NES) is marvelous, and still holds up. If you’re interested in arcade emulation (eg Mame), NewZealand Story is fantastic (also 1988). Good graphics for the time, great music, and cute character design.
