Thank goodness we don’t have a president who routinely does things he has no power to legally do. And even if that did happen, I’m so thankful we have a strong Congress who would push back.
Unrelated to your question, but do you get cost estimates while setting up the VM? I tried setting one up a while back but, despite picking all the free settings, it still estimated a cost of $2 per month. It never asked for CC info, but it still felt off.

Decided to look into the yellow counties in Montana because I was shocked if they could even be 49%. Petroleum County (a truly American name) in Montana has 228 occupied households and seemingly no public transportation. However, 58.2% of the county is employed in mining.
So my best guess is a company bus that comes around and picks up everybody? It seems like the bulk of the remainder are farmers, which would mean they don’t “need” to drive anywhere. Although they do drive constantly across their property as part of the work, which feels like cheating.

This may be too big: Arthur Christmas. It was made by Aardman (Wallace and Gromit, Shawn the Sheep) but using CG instead of claymation. I honestly don’t like the animation as much as their claymation, but they did a good job with it.
It’s the best representation of the “Christmas spirit” in my opinion. The story is great and the character arcs bring a tear to my eye.

I had the same issue, but he was perfect in this role. He’s not exactly supposed to be super likable at first either, so it’s a bit like watching Kevin Spacey in a creepy role. And he didn’t make any money off me, so I don’t feel too bad.
I just checked and the last season of Game of Thrones was estimated to be $15 million per episode, which is about $300,000 per minute if I’m generous. Other big name shows seem to be 3-10 million per episode. Andor is twice that, so I’m back to those numbers being insane. How can Disney possibly hope to make 3/4 of a billion dollars off streaming subscriptions specifically to watch Andor?
705 million looked insane, but it makes a lot more sense when you divide it out like that. That’s still a lot per minute. I wonder how it stacks up to non-Star Wars shows.

I used to think the same thing about people falling in love with AI. It seemed so obvious that nobody would seriously do that; it’d be so self-destructive. Now cybernetics don’t seem so far fetched either.
I’m fully prepared to take it down in a year or two because it turned into a filthy rain cloud. But until then it sure does give off some nice light and makes for an interesting piece to look at.
I wish more people had this attitude. So many people won’t start a project because it may not be perfect. I’m certainly guilty of it sometimes. But the world is so much better for having these creations, even if they may not last forever.
