Sony has stated that the access time will be close to zero, as if you are playing on a cartridge.
LMAO

As long as they aren’t utilizing Nintendo’s IP, then there wouldn’t be any grounds to shut it down. I have not looked at this project, but I assume it’s just some homebrew tools with a nice interface. Homebrew tools have existed forever.
Seems like something that should have been released within the first year of the switches life. Anyone really in the market for something like this at this point in time?
There seem to be a lot of these beat’em ups coming out lately. Most of them don’t really seem to bring anything new to the table though. I’ll probably pass on this.
Yeah my friend got a Dreamcast and then I pirated all the games for him. It was one of the most awesome consoles ever with amazing games. But the few other people I knew with one at the time also pirated games. It was just so easy because it didn’t even need a modchip or anything. Just download, burn a CD, and play.
I played it for a few hundred hours before dropping off. The single player content can last you a good while, but it does start feeling a bit repetitive.
The online multiplayer is pretty good, but the net code is not great so it can often feel laggy. This was what I spent most of my time on though.
Well, hopefully this will at least force stability’s hand in some way and get them to at least make an official statement instead of just remaining silent.
It’s been a wait, but glad to see it finally out. Looking forward to playing with it later.
Why would I tell them about “the fediverse”? Tell them that you use Lemmy or Mastodon or whatever. If they are interested then give them a link to a good instance. That’s it.
I have always liked the box art for Bart vs the Space Mutants. There is a lot happening in it, which really caught my eye when I was a kid.
I loved my virtual boy when I was a kid. It felt like the future or something. It didn’t have a lot of great games, but I did get most of the best ones when blockbuster video started clearing out their inventory and sold games for like $5 each.
Wow, it cleaned up real nice!
Looks kind of like NES Remix, but without the remix.
That’s the Internet as a whole.
It’s interesting that they are bringing this f-zero stuff to switch now. They had f-zero 99 and now this. I wonder if it could be signaling a new f-zero game in the future.
Settle it in smash?
Looks interesting, but also somewhat complicated. Now generation has to run through 3 models? I thought it was bad enough having a separate refiner model for sdxl.
What are your best recommendations?
I was first introduced to the original Worms through a demo that came with a PC magazine. I spent way too many hours playing that simple demo, but it really sold me on the concept of worms.
When Worms 2 came out, I bought it and I was blown away at it being such a massive improvement over the original. I think it was probably the first game that I spent a significant amount of time playing online. I even made custom sound packs based around some of my favorite shows, and I would customize my team names around them.
Then Worms Armageddon came out. I was so hyped for the next generation of Worms, so I bought it immediately. And then… Well I have to say I felt disappointed. While it was certainly an improvement over Worms 2, with a few new weapons and some single player content, it really felt like more of an expansion than a whole new game. But alright, it is what it is, and I continued playing because it was still a fun game.
And then Worms World Party came out. I thought that surely this must be the next big evolution in the Worms franchise. So once again I bought it. And god damnit, it felt like they had once again sold me the same damn game with a fresh coat of paint. And that’s how I came to stop loving the Worms franchise.
