I’ve been using unlimited for the past 4-5 months and questioning the same. the email is ok, but I can’t commit to switching 20 years of stuff over. the pass is pretty bad at autofill and making new passwords unless I’m just missing something. the vpn works, but I don’t really need it. I want to like and use the service but it’s all just eh.

the password manager kinda sucks too. credit cards are in a category that you have to delete the name of the site you’re visiting in order to see. sometimes I question why I’m paying for the thing. lastpass was way better 10 years ago.

but regardless, imagine if you are meeting with 10 people all in different time zones. some in Arizona which doesn’t have DST. most don’t work 8-5 or whatever because thats old fashioned and sucks life from you. I’d rather know when you work on a single single clock. no confusion. it would take a couple months for everyone to adjust to their new clock and then everyone would be in sync. yeah its a fantasy, but things are more connected every day. think of the boon for travelers and airlines.

That would be listed in plain terms on a website no conversion needed. I really only deal with individuals though, so they list their hours on teams and only some of them follow business hours anyways.

Anyone who works with people in different time zones. Which is a lot more of us as we go remote.

It wasn’t just mods using 3rd party apps. Anyone that experienced the switch from old.reddit or that used mobile had to be using 3rd party or only half their brain.

Subs still works in my mind. Subdirectories of all, or subscriptions… whichever way you want to think of it. I never really thought of subs as short for subreddits though, that was just convenient marketing based of those same terms.

The oldest receipt I can locate was from 2009. I think that was my second. The first ssd being from before my son was born. He’s about to graduate high school. I remember when trim came out it was a big deal and I remember vaguely having issues with getting it to work on that first drive.

All that said, you’re probably right that 2002 was way too early of a guesstimate. Say 2006 or even 2010. What have people been doing all these years. Just waiting to boot up? There is a whole generation that should never have had to deal with hdd’s for anything but data hoarding.

I haven’t had an HDD since around 2004, maybe 2002. Sure I cant keep tons of big games installed, but decent internet makes that not really an issue.

I believe all only shows the magazines or subs or whatever that have been synced to local. on a large instance, that will be plenty but in a small instance you'll have to sign up and then everyone in the instance will see that sub in all.

I think the all feed doesn’t have all the subs, just the ones that have been subscribed to by anyone on the instance. local is a little more intuitive in that it’s just the local hosted subs to the instance.
