For real, wtf where they freebasing?
For real, wtf where they freebasing?
I got lucky, hardly experienced any bugs at all and I had the game from day one. Loved the atmosphere.
Fair enough!
Guess I’m just a bit excited, since I’ve finally gone back to pirating after more than a decade. And Stremio is just really nice. Only thing I’m missing is the possibility of creating profiles. Can’t let my 8 year old daughter use it like this.
The setup is super easy though. And you’re paying way less than for Netflix, but you get way better quality, can download the videos, and you have everything in one place. You can also get an add-on that gives you the suggestions from all of the streaming services.
Nope, since real-debrid is doing the torrenting, you’re only downloading the cached content. You can use a VPN if it makes you feel safer, but it’s not really necessary.
Edit: just make sure to connect a Real-debrid account to Torrentio! They do the illegal stuff, while you just download without uploading, which is in a legal grey zone (in Germany).
The SNES also doesn’t require active cooling. The stress on the components is none existent. It also doesn’t have an integrated display, battery etc. And let’s be honest, pretty much anything from 20-30 years ago was built way more robust than the finicky stuff you get nowadays.
Nah, the thermal load on the Switch components is way higher than in the old handhelds. Plus, we’re living in a time where corners are cut and obsolescence is planned. The switch will never last 20 years without repairs to battery/PCB/display/etc.
So essentially Stremio with Torrentio and Real-debrid!
Thank you very much! And please excuse my harsh phrasing. Let me change that, in retrospect that was a bit over the top. I’m massively over-worked and get triggered rather quickly nowadays.
Hope you get banned. Anyone can feel free to go through my comments. They’ll find that I’m anti AfD. Fuck Nazis, fuck the AfD (edited the last part out, as it was a personal insult. The rest still stands though!)
This. If it has to be torrents, then do it via a Debrid service such as Real Debrid. They do the torrenting, while the user only downloads the cached data. That’s how I understood it at least. Stremio + Torrentio via Real-debrid is what I’m using for streaming high quality shows and movies.
Skyrim was pretty bad. I’d say it’s a pretty low bar. They did get the overall atmosphere right though.
I absolutely hate to watch subtitles appear word for word. So no, please no live captions.
I have lived in Germany for over 30 years now. I just saw the difference between the Netherlands and Denmark vs Germany. It’s kind of sad how we shut ourselves into our own little language bubble, yet the world has so much to offer. I prefer watching movies in French/Spanish/Japanese/whatever with subtitles. I believe that a huge portion of the trade that is acting is conveyed through language. By overdubbing these movies a lot of the actual appeal is lost.
Do you mean actual German shows/movies or German dubs of shows/movies?
I was raised in the Netherlands and I’m fairly sure that German Society is so braindead because they never had to indulge in foreign languages. Just teach your kid English, it’ll be good for everyone. Kids absorb other languages like a sponge.
Thanks mate! I haven’t pirated anything in ich a long time that I really need to get back into it. But most wikis/mega threads are for piracy outside of Germany, so it’s difficult to find good information. You gave me some good pointers and, more importantly, ease of mind.
I was also planning on using my NAS to stream movies from like I did in the past.
Thanks for the reply! Sorry I didn’t get around to answering earlier. I have been too preoccupied with work, so my Internet activity was limited to streaming and gaming for a very long time now. Gaming is still fine, having GoG and Steam around. But streaming is becoming less and less attractive and more complicated due to fragmentation (granted, it’s not as bad as in the USA yet).
I’ll check out Mulvad and some other VPNs, thanks for the hint. I just keep hearing that torrenting in Germany still is dangerous, despite using a VPN. Does Stremio with real debrid work without the torrent part?
So I live in Germany and as such I avoid torrents. The thing with torrents is, that as soon as you’re on a tracker, you’re sharing content illegally. There’s an entire industry of law firms built around fucking up torrent users.
That’s why I used to use real-debrid to download stuff from one click hosters manually. How does stremio and torrentio work? Is it a safe alternative for German pirates? I really want to cancel some subscriptions here, especially now that they’re planning on using ads.
I don’t think anyone really cares though. People buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games.
I own both. I prefer the switch to play games with my daughter. I’m also getting rid of the Steam Deck because I tend to only play casual games on it. I’ve now bought a gaming laptop (mainly for editing photos and recording music) which is a way better form factor for me. The Steam Deck is amazing though and I see how it is the perfect machine for many people.
Streaming services stopped being convenient a couple of years ago. Introduction of ads, content strewn all over the place, shitty UI, etc.
I went with Stremio because it has everything in one place. Seeding is not an option because Germany is a shit country for seeding Torrents.
Real Debrid does the torrenting while the end user downloads the cached content. I’m not sure if they seed or not however.
