there is also more diverse content than the crap that was on here six months ago.
when 50% of the frontpage is linux memes… you’re not going to gain the interest of most new users. now it seems to be down to about 20%

my experience is that people are idiots. no matter where you go irl or on the internet. and will willfully be offended at the slightest disagreement or hint that they wont’ get their way.
‘just go somewhere else!’ - this is the same thinking that is the usa housing and immigration crisis. head in the sand nonsense, blaming other people, and then jerk yourself off about what a saint and divine patron of lemmy you are.
So are internet comments are terrorism now?
Sad to see how quick lemmy is becoming reddit. I’ve already had lots of DMs from hateful angry folks with rage problems who take words on their web browser way too seriously.
and the dumbos who go around downvoting all your comments because of one they didn’t like.
I’d rather we just ditch algorithms and go back to it being random/chronological feeds.
and on the flip side… restaurants, travel, and hospitality is desperate for workers due to the huge uptick in demand.
Media wants us to believe we are in a recession so people stop spending and actually cause it, thus the Fed has to lower interest rates and the wealthy can go back to getting lots and lots of free money for virtually nothing.
It’s absurd to see a huge company dropping a few hundred jobs as a national headline… but that’s how hard the media is determined to pushing the recession narrative/bad economy narrative.
that’s how it works. you have no credit history you can’t be trusted wiht a major loan like a mortgage.
you need credit history.
right, the thing that idiots do is load up their card once they get one and then make minimum payments… tanking their credit. and instead of paying it down… they open up a new one.
or it’s just because he doesn’t want to pay interest payments.
the system is build primarily around whether you pay back your debt or not.
if you have debt you can’t pay… you have bad credit.
good and bad credit have like 300 point spread. not 3. nobody cares if your score is 810 vs 812.
instances are just distinct servers really.
and some of them are purpose/politics specific.
