Could also be a tourist from the USA. Sometimes we put Canadian flags on our stuff to be less reviled when we’re in Europe. 😅

Deleted my comment when I thought he was gonna make it back out, but I was wrong.

I’m not sure that anyone would do this on purpose, because the risk is too high that DRS won’t be enough on the next lap. Track position is more important than DRS. We’ve all seen cars struggle to get the pass done even with DRS.
Well you see, Kevin, your job is to keep at least one wheel inside the white lines. That’s the rules of the sport. Just like lots of sports where staying within the white lines is important!
If you don’t like it, no one is forcing you to stay in the sport. If it weren’t for you handing McLaren a win last race I’d be begging you to retire already.
I understand people who miss the banshee scream of the V10s/V12s, or the roar of the V8s, but I’m already annoyed that they’re dropping the MGU-H for 2026.
The current turbo-hybrid engines are INCREDIBLE from a thermal efficiency standpoint. It’s insane. That’s part of why they’re quiet. They’re exactly where F1 should be taking ICE technology. More power from less fuel. Less wasted energy.
But I suppose that F1 is going to lose technological relevance anyway as the world shifts away from ICEs, so we might as well make the spectacle more entertaining. No one cares how useful racehorses are, just whether they’re fast.
Nah, that leads to overly timid racing. Sainz made a mistake, but the move wasn’t inherently aggressive or shitty like KMag against Hamilton in the sprint.
Honestly I wouldn’t have been mad if it came down as a racing incident, but I think because he was driving angry the 5 seconds is justified.
As a McLaren fan, I actually agree. I think this could’ve gone down as a racing incident, but he was driving angry and definitely made a mistake because of it.
I was seriously confused how insistent he had been earlier about Piastri needing to give him the place, too. He was stewing about it for lap after lap. Not a healthy mindset, Sainz.
That was absurdly close to a Red Bull double DNF.
Hamilton should know better than to dive up the inside on T1 at the beginning of a race. There was no way he was going to make that corner without hitting someone.
Several years back Lewis showed how strong those front wings are by standing on his and sort of bouncing up and down.
F1 bodywork seems weak because of the forces involved when they crash at hundreds of kilometers per hour. But they’re actually quite strong. If you think about it, that front wing is designed to handle a significant weight of air.
I think you’re right, but I like to dream of a Verstappen/Norris/Newey dream team at McLaren.
If Max has another DNF, Norris could get a win this season. I would love another reason to fly my McLaren flag outside my house!
Please read the first 3 words of my comment.
Well sure, but it was the last five I had issue with. The “I don’t think it’s inexcusable” part. :D
Everyone else, many of whom had less gap, managed to not slam into the car ahead. Stroll had fuckloads of room and didn’t react in time.
Damn, was not expecting Ricciardo to have a more recent win than Hamilton.
He doesn’t. Lewis won the very next race after Ricciardo’s win in 2021. It’s just that Ricciardo had some time off, so he’s had fewer races total.
Seriously, being a part of Ferrari returning to greatness would be a solid additional plant in the garden that is the legacy of the greatest designer in F1 history.
This is what came up last time there were Alonso-to-Mercedes rumors.
Alonso is an amazing driver but he has burned a lot of bridges over his career.
Nah, Max never matured. He just stopped being challenged. If he’s challenged, he reverts to full asshole. “I win or we crash.”
