The best episodes are honestly when it does. The crossover with lower decks was good. I do like how they were handling the Chapel in season 3. With her going to her husband’s dig, but those were off screen subtle references without any larger implications of what her destiny is with Korby. Having Trelene pop up was kinda a double dose. I enjoyed it on the ride but after I’m just like, ‘what did the show do on its own?’ Ad Astra per Aspera was good. So was Under the Cloak of War. It’s not a bad show it just keeps stretching too much.
Man…is this what it’s like when So-and-so’s walking stick (staff) or chalice gets turned into a relic? It’s just trash with a story?

I like the show, but it keeps nostalgia-bating and it’s getting annoying. The balance of terror what-if was cool. I don’t think I will ever get over that they chose to make a boy band joke instead if doing klingon opera in subspace rhapsody. The wedding episode was fun but after watching it, annoying. I don’t need to see ALL the people and things from ToS. It’s an okay show…but is it okay because it keeps reminding me about ToS or because it’s solid on its own? The answer changes with the episode.
