Yeah! I really like the combat in KotOR. It’s like a normal turn based CRPG, but faster.

Vimm’s Lair probably has whatever PS3 games you want- google should find that site easily. I have no clue on DLCs- I don’t think I’ve ever emulated a PS3 game that had DLCs so I can’t really help.
RPCS3 is very user friendly as far as emulators go so you might be surprised with what non-techie people can do with it. AC4 multiplayer is listed as compatible with RPCN so you could probably play it multiplayer, it’s just a question of actually finding people playing it.
As for Xbox 360 emulation: again, you can get files from Vimm’s but I’d suggest you let that cook. Xenia is the only 360 emulator I’m aware of. It definitely works, but it’s still in rough shape right now. Needs more time. I know OG Xbox emulators exist, but I’ve never looked into them personally.

I’ve never really understood the comparisons between Destiny 2 and Borderlands, honestly. I like both but my brain puts them in very different boxes. Same thing with Warframe.

I like them, personally, and there’s absolutely nothing else that scratches the “I want to play Borderlands” itch. The quality varies a lot by the game, though.
Well that’s extremely neat.

I used to love this game! At this point I honestly remember very little- mostly the commands some servers had to play audio clips. First place I heard Interior Crocodile Alligator. There was another that was just someone shouting “Butt pirates!”
Oddly enough, I remember basically none of the actual game. I might have to try it again!

A ton of them apparently come from regional pricing, or from keys purchased by businesses. Windows offers volume licensing where you can buy bulk keys at a steep discount, basically. The business might not use all of them, and then they turn around and resell them. That’s technically against the terms of the license, but afaik Microsoft has never bothered to enforce that.
I’ve also heard people will take the Windows keys off of older OEM towers and resell them. I have no idea how true that is, but it would also be against their terms.
It’s not exactly likely, but Microsoft could probably just deactivate all of those keys at once if they decided to.

If you’re only interested in a single file, ProtonVPN has a free tier. The speed should be plenty for a single ~600mb file.

I think I’ve done like three playthroughs, two I finished. It branches a lot with the dialogue and everything, there’s a lot of room for replay value considering it’s a relatively linear action RPG.

And it’s an absolutely fantastic game, too.

What’s wrong with it? I don’t at all doubt that something is- it’s a $50 wireless mechanical keyboard, I’m just curious.

idk, maybe the hospital has insurance for idiocy. But the people that broke it almost certainly can’t afford an MRI machine, so they ain’t paying.

Well, shit.

Z-Library isn’t really research oriented, but you could try it. I have no idea how much scientific content is on it, not why I’m there, but FMHY says it has ‘educational’ content just like Anna’s Archive does, and I’ve seen textbooks on there before.

I know my family is so used to thinking of batteries as ultra cheap and disposable that there was a lot of resistance to using rechargeables purely because of the increased cost.
An hour long battery on beard trimmers is crazy, I agree. I actually have no clue how long the battery in my beard trimmers would last because I use them for five to ten minutes and then plug them up for a week.

I disagree with the AA batteries being a negative though. If you use rechargeable batteries and make sure to have spares,
yep, fully agree. I don’t particularly care for the move to rechargeable internal batteries for literally every device. I can just cycle through a pack of rechargeable AAAs every year or so and be fine.

The issue is that they’re almost certainly going to be cheap, and therefore companies are going to use them even if they’re complete dogshit.
But I think the bigger issue is saying “no ai” and then… using AI.

Yes.
I love MCC, but I don’t like competitive FPS games at all. I’m in it exclusively for the campaign, and occasionally custom games. That said: playing any FPS with a controller is an incredibly frustrating experience. I know what I want to happen, but my hands can’t make it happen.
