I find it funny how this also coincides with the generation that loves Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate, and turned out more conservative than their grandparents. Willing to bet that this is a mainly male phenomenon, if not 100% men doing it.

If his fans could read, they’d be so pissed.

From what I’ve gathered, this Morgan Wallen guy is a MAGA. So this tracks. It’ll attract the same kind of people that were caught with their dicks out near the gymnasts at Trump’s birthday carnival thing. My sympathy for the children.

As someone that hasn’t been around here for a few months, I’m just going to guess that it’s these freeze peach people who feel entitled to say whatever they want wherever they want, and like the rules don’t apply to them.
They were complaining about the Blahaj admin a lot as well before because she’s hardcore with moderation just like the instance says on the tin. And the neckbeard edgelords that grew up using 4chan and think it’s “early internet”, always get up in arms when moderators and admins try to create spaces for like-minded people without needing to ‘debate’ bigots, just like they did on the actual early internet on forum sites.
This doesn’t excite me enough to do my homework particularly but I’m gonna guess there’s more to this than “wah the evil blue haired SJW with nose rings is censoring us with the woke agenda”.

I dunno, I think she fits in nicely with the rest of the reality TV stars, news readers and podcasters cosplaying as politicians. What were Trump’s actual credentials? Bankrupting casinos and saying “your fired” on the Apprentice?

Hope you don’t mind me replying to this comment again. I don’t want to make a new post about it, thought I might as well use a thread I started that relates to PieFed anyway.
I noticed that pinned posts are now working! The only difference now compared to a native Lemmy account is that they don’t have the thumb tack symbol. Hardly a major issue but thought I would point it out in case it helps.
Thanks again for this great app.

I had this same issue and just tried force killing the app in settings, then clearing the cache. After that, my PieFed account is now working again. Hopefully it helps you.

Alright I’m not sure if I missed a sneaky update in the mean time, but I suddenly had the thought to try clearing the cache in app info (after killing the app first), then try again. And now I’ve been successfully able to log in with my PieFed account and everything is loading again. I’m suggest to the other user to try the same.
It’s the economy worldwide too. I don’t know how long they’re going to be expecting us to fork out increasing amounts of cash for movie tickets, as if that’s not becoming a huge luxury for a lot of people. Maybe that’s why people expect every single comic book movie to be some kind of transcendental experience now. ‘Good’ isn’t good enough anymore when there’s the entire catalogue of Netflix for a month, for half the price.
Personally I’m getting sick of the “nothing is good anymore” people. They say this about everything from movies to games to music. And honestly, I think it’s a skill issue. We live in the era of choice with entire catalogues of entertainment at our fingertips. But they’re still expecting to be spoonfed everything like it’s 1995.
Also, not everyone likes the same things. So it’s up to you, dear reader, to actually fucking look for the things you like. If you no longer watch TV or listen to radio or go anywhere near mainstream social media, the fact that you can’t find anything to watch / play / listen to is your fucking problem. Complaining that nothing is good anymore while refusing to actually look for it, is like sticking your head in the ground and complaining that someone turned the lights off.
