Another reminder that there’s a difference between something being “valued at” a billion dollars and being “worth” a billion dollars.

That must’ve been hot. I moved to the Tropic of Cancer and that’s as close to the equator as I want to get. Sometimes I miss playing in the snow, but I don’t miss shoveling it.

I thought it was right up until I saw this very comment.

Haha, yeah, sorry. I’ll delete this. I don’t know why I’m like this.

Yeah, but read it again. This isn’t Singapore. It’s Singpore. They so broke they can’t afford the A, LOL.

That…sounds a tad optimistic.

“Move fast and break things” always sounded like terrible words to live by to me. Maybe more people will agree now that we see some of the broken things are people.

Huh. Seems like more countries than that ought to ban it.

When I lived in Colorado I had to go do a field visit to a site in northern Georgia, and I was talking to my colleague to get directions to the site. He kept saying stuff like, “Are you sure you can drive here? There’s a huge mountain in between here and Atlanta.” I told him I drive in the mountains all the time and I was confident I would be just fine. “OK, if you’re sure. Be careful, it’s really a huge mountain.” He really went on about how treacherous the drive would be. Well, I made it to the site. Never did see any mountain. 😝

In case you were worried about poor Meta, they made about $68 Billion in net profit in the past year, which translates to 186 million every single day. This amount is about 3 days worth of earnings. Not nothing, but does anyone think it’s enough to make them change their behavior?
Wow Denmark makes more cheese than The Netherlands? I’ll bedamned.
