  • I think there’s a disconnect here.

No shit that you need one person to make it and it is yourself.

The problem is your unrealistic expectations by how you’re making it sound like just making an instance means automatic success of a community by denying the reality of just how active the general community as a whole is. People just simply don’t have that kind of patience. I know I wouldn’t, so no, I’m not going to be making my instances.

Why make the millionth Games-related instance when the current ones should be improved upon?

  • I’m not going to see it, because I felt that the perfect getting-off point was at 3. There was someone who wrote a very good summary of my feelings who had seen it. Toy Story 5 is basically a do-anything movie, especially one that has reached a 5th entry and we’ll probably say a 6th will be down the line. It has told stories that it could tell for a series based on toys. There’s no villain, barely a message, no interesting plot points and the characters are just - there.

This is just simply the merchandising machine justifying itself with another entry and that’s all that is there to it.

  • I don’t think it’s just downvotes that are the reason posts are deleted. What’s being ignored, is what follows after downvotes. And that is, users being antagonistic over nuanced posts because the posts don’t contain the kind of brainrot-meme-lamejoke kind of content that is the norm.

And it is never a good feeling getting dogpiled on for absolutely no reason other than just not appeasing to whatever expectancy that is there. Additionally, when there isn’t enough activity aside from that, people can feel like ‘what’s the point?’ because they simply don’t have enough numbers of people engaging.

So this creates this discouragement within them to keep bothering.
