Compare it to the steam deck (a bit more pricey, but can also run emulators). If you want a more polished nintendo-like experience however, the switch is probably not a bad purchase (consider you have to add to it the hefty cost nintendo puts on their games and the fee for playing online, if you want to).

Mhhhh the Nvidia shield does not really seems like a bad idea… Its price is actually not that bad (even though you need the Pro to have USB ports so i can plug an hard drive into it).

That’s cool but you can’t search through it and the way the list is displayed makes it so there is no game title in text so Ctrl+F isn’t possible either. Am I missing something?

That’s so nice, sodium really does wonders for me, I have an older graphics card than yours and I can still have smooth 100fps with good render distance. I will probably try Distant horizons at this point and hopefully it will stay above the 60 fps which for me is more than enough.

This indeed does look cool. I have a few questions: how are your fps? Are you using sodium?

To join from a client you have to go to the “Servers” tab and if you scroll down the featured servers in the bottom you will find a “Add server” button or something like that where you can add a custom server.

Rant: They made sure it’s hidden down there because they have partnerships with the sponsored servers which cash in a lot of money from kids going there. They use predatory and aggressive in-game marketing to try and squeeze every cent possible from kid’s parents credit cards. I’m glad to see people host their own local servers instead.
