The compensation is the service you’re getting for free. It becomes more tricky if you’ve got a paid account. I don’t care if they train on my code because if they want to train on my crap, that’s their problem.

Cheers

I’m most used to c style and as a result I like it because it’s simple and uncomplicated. I recently started learning rust and quite like their way of doing it, although there’s also mod and I haven’t quite figured out when to use which. I just do what rust analyser tells me :)

I think I’d even rather write PHP than C++ at this point.
You can get professional help for that these days!

Eclipse is worth trying. If you can get past its slightly psychotic autocomplete it’s an excellent IDE.

Yeah, it’s certainly different!

Learning the basics of rust and trying to build my new language first project

Yes, but I used it under the licence terms of the original developer.

He’s allowed to express his opinion.

Thanks for that. I’m enjoying it now!

Anything pretty laid back and lyric free is good coding music for me. At the moment, Solar Fields and Tangerine Dream are my faves.

OOP isn’t an anti-pattern, but the way it’s used in the enterprise Java world definitely is. And it’s all based on a fundamental misunderstanding of what an interface is.

I would start with Python. It’s a fun language to learn, and generally recommended for beginners. Towards the end, I would spend a few sessions on c, not to teach them c but to give them an appreciation for what they get for free in higher level languages.

And both drug dealers and software companies refer to their clients as users.
If you want to know which one is right, ask yourself what int* i, j gives you and you’ll see this one is wrong.

Linux, Plasma, VSCodium with the clang. cmake, and Qt extensions
I think the better answer is what can’t you do with programming yet… For example, fixing a roof can’t be done, but in the future there could be robots programmed to do just that.
