On the other hand, I was one of those weirdos who really got behind John Bush (Armored Saint) joining Anthrax. Dude is in my top 5 metal vocalists.

My teenage nephew and I share a Gundam obsession. We also both love video games, just different kinds. He was very excited when one shooter or another had a Gundam crossover via skins. He was just waffling a bit since they cost real money. He eventually let slip that they were like $20-25 each. “But you can get them all for like $60, so it’s a better deal than just getting two.”
I was stunned. Dude, you can buy a whole game with that. Multiple games. “Yeahhhh…” You can get a couple HG model kits. Or an MG. “True… but they’re so cool!”
I don’t think he bought the skins. Although a few months later he was angrily reciting the general online discourse regarding Switch 2 game pricing despite not having any Nintendo hardware at all (which is par for the course). And not even two weeks later he’s over the moon about Doom Eternal… which he bought new… at $70… and finished in a week or so. “I can’t wait for the DLC!”
Sigh.

Agreed that Calamity is the better Warriors game, mechanically. But Imprisonment constantly had me geeking out over the deeper look at TotK’s flashback events. Would I have liked more meat? Yes. Do I regret playing it? Nope.
The fact that it dropped right in the middle of diaper don’s first tariff tantrum pushed me over the edge to buying one at launch. I didn’t see it getting cheaper any time soon. And while I agree that the current slate of games is pretty anemic, I have a ton of SW1 games, and most of them run better on SW2. I’m satisfied with my purchase.

A friend of mine reached out to a couple of Nebula creators to ask them if it was more beneficial financially for people to watch their stuff on Nebula or YT. Neither had a cut and dried answer, saying that YT views are important for long term discoverability that was hard to quantify vs getting a direct cut of the Nebula money/YT ads. So I’ll sometimes watch shorter-form videos on YT and save the deep dives/binging for Nebula.
Edit because I forgot the point I was responding to: Grady linking to YT might be a case of needing that engagement either short or long term.
I also had my 360 hooked up to a CRT, though mine was of the 90s school of design.

I mean… 64 is the best game out of the series. Would have preferred a new game to a remake though.
