Yeah, that would be best. I still keep certain things separate because of enshittification can strike at any time! However, I don’t think that Proton will ever get that deep into the becoming shittier train; I could be 1000% wrong about it, as I’m aggressively huffing copium right now. It is an old game, but The Fun Pimps have been working on it the whole time; the old console version was the only one that wasn’t getting updates because the studio that maintained it went under. It’s still surprising for me, even, that the 1.0 is releasing on July 25th.

I’ve been playing 7 Days to Die, the experimental 1.0! It’s been a fun but challenging experience. I’ve logged about 72 hours now (I had some play time before starting on the Experimental 1.0). I plan on playing Spirittea again on Xbox because they dropped the Fishing Update finally (Microsoft took their sweet time in evaluating the update).

I’m merely being cautious for the time being in regard to buying games without native Linux support. My owned games that I’ve tried with Proton 9.0-1 have worked fine so far, I’ve not noticed any glaring issues with gameplay. I was having troubles with the OS before Canonical pushed several updates that fixed their code, now everything is fine on that front.

In my case, it’s due to having Ubuntu installed that I can’t buy this game on Steam. Otherwise, I’d have probably purchased this game from Steam instead of for console.

LEGO Horizon Adventures is looking great! I would want to buy this for Xbox over Switch, as I’m not certain it would perform well on the Switch itself. I’ll have to read the reviews post-launch before making a decision to buy or pass on this game.

My own inner monologue is a mix of movie and voice, I often see the real life/animated equivalent of what thought/idea is trending within my monologue. Years after a thought experiment on the concept of creating a Tulpa, that artificial inner presence still exists. It tends to influence the monologue direction for at least a few hours at a time; then it fades from my awareness for weeks or months at a time.

Bethesda only published the game (obviously had some influence on development by way of making demands), Arkane Austin was the developer. The scuttlebutt that I could find was that internally they weren’t interested in making a multi-player/online game. So, it was a problem because it led to understaffing due to so many members leaving the project after losing hope in their Redfall game. It created a mess that lead us to the release version of Redfall. There were strokes of Arkane genius within the bones, but the flesh was poorly constructed as a result. If Arkane Austin weren’t pushed in a bad direction by their publisher, Bethesda; I feel that we could’ve gotten a better version of Redfall. Microsoft shouldn’t have closed their studio because of that failure, such a short-sighted move enacted by an inept executive looking for quick savings.

I hope Arkane Austin devs can unite once more to make a cool game; As corporate funded games tend to be way too safe and often disappointing. Seeing them make a breakout hit would be like egg in Microsoft’s face, I’d feel a rush of schadenfreude!

Yeah, I feel like that would’ve been the best route…Arkane proved they were amazing at that sort of game! Rebooting it into a solo, single-player experience could’ve worked. Instead, they were forced down a path unfamiliar to them, just because executives meddled and wanted yet another multiplayer/co-op game.

Ah, the executive class in need of some strong policing in terms of sign on bonuses and salaries! Nobody should be making that insane amount of cash, especially wantonly participating in unnecessary layoffs like Unity did.

It’s so freaking weird that Nintendo stopped supporting Animal Crossing New Horizons so early…Past games like New Leaf got so much support as it’s such a damn cozy game! They had a truly magical situation where they could’ve kept people coming into Animal Crossing but blew it in the classic Nintendo style. Several DLC themed appropriately and expanding upon the in-game systems would’ve sold like hotcakes.
