Have you tried the option on Plex to “burn in subs” always? I have had subtitle issues here and there but setting that option fixed my subtitle issues.

Well I guess I am just wondering how more rentals from a video store would benefit the developers financially? I mean I’m sure I could research but surely game studios didn’t get any kind of percentage from the rental places based on how many times a title was rented right?

I’m using iOS. Currently use Memmy but it’s got its own quirks.

Been test running various Lemmy apps, I think Voyager is nice but for some reason it bothers me that I can’t see the user name that submitted a post when looking at the feed. Doesn’t seem to be any settings to correct that.

I seem to be at a stalemate where I like features for various apps, but just still haven’t found my all in one favorite.

I’m surprised if anyone can successfully moderate a large lemmy community at all, considering there are no tools in place to provide notifications for reports - through email or other means.

Are there any app notifications or email options to let yo know about reports? I modestly mod a couple subs and I have never found a way to reliably get report notifications unless I log in through a browser based front end.

This is the way if you want any movement. Start the communities yourself and curate/nurture them. Hand them off to a mod or trusted member that wants to break away from Le Reddit.

Yep I remember specifically at the cade I went to growing up, their Dragon’s Lair machine had a 2nd screen on top of the cap so that the whole crowd could see the action. It was quite a site.

I remember trying RIF way back in the day. I think before the official app was even rolled out. I can’t even tell you why or how I quit RIF as it’s been so long ago.

I personally didn’t have much of a problem with the official app, even though it could be wonky at times. I was more of a lurker and not a mod nor any kind of power user or anything. I left Reddit more on the principle of not wanting to support a greedy company anymore.
