Probably should have mentioned I use the air fryer to reheat most things. I have a microwave, but it doesn’t get a lot of use anymore. I don’t actually have a proper range/oven anymore.

Honestly, almost everything. I like most food better as left overs. Especially if it’s hot/spicy. It tends to get spicier overnight. Also marinara based foods do really well, like lasagna, manicotti, spaghetti, et cetera.

My favorite has to be our way of doing taco meat. A bunch of diced tomatoes (normally canned, sometimes fresh), and diced chili peppers, like jalapeños, poblanos, hatch chilis, habaneros, et cetera, spices and ground beef. Lightly fry the corn tortillas and eat. But I always make enough to have the next day, because after it’s sat overnight, it’s so much better.

Commiserate? Not quite right, but almost there. I get what you mean, though. Back in wide eyed “the democratic party is wonderful and flawless!” days as a teenager I used to think of Canada as this sort of perfected image of what the US could be. When I found out they had their own shit, and much of it just American shit imported north, I felt terrible knowing others were going through these same battles, but it made me feel less alone, if that makes sense.

Are you in college, or do you have a friend who is? Often you can sign in through your college’s library for access.

I am unreasonably excited about this. Where I live, there’s no decent options for Internet or cell signal. Which means normal calling/texting doesn’t work, and regular Wi-Fi calling/texting is choppy at the best of times. My whole family uses WhatsApp for everything. I’m hoping I can get them to switch to something like this once it’s stable.

Kinda related, I’ve been saying for years we need more “the gravity plating is out” episodes where everything is floating around, bumping into shit, causing problems. We got one scene in enterprise and that’s it. :/

Started the first book. Just finished the chapters Clear Air Turbulence. I was hooked from the prologue!

It also occured to me, I haven’t read much scifi. I watch a lot of scifi, I read a lot of fantasy. I haven’t read much sci-fi, so it’s kind of fun that it’s something new to me that I’d never really considered was missing until now. Thanks for the rec!
