It’s still possible that Trump has gotten his wires crossed and thinks it’s an American thing. All it takes is one of his Russian handlers to mention that that’s how it works in Russian and for him assume it’s the same in the US. His brain isn’t great with nuance after all. The jaw is broken and reshaped continually until they look a little more like the cartoonish over exagerated jawline of the chads from those chad memes. No I’m not kidding and no this is not done with any kind of medical supervision.
