Sorry, I’ll just present my assumptions as fact next time.

I assume the traffic just moved slow enough at that point in time that the rule was “make way” when you saw another vehicle rather than “always stick to this particular side”.
Again, this is just an educated guess and have absolutely nothing to back up my assumptions.

It’s not X so 👍.
I rarely used Twitter before the Musk takeover, only to follow a handful of authors I like for updates about their books and a few people who did aerospace updates, unfortunately most of them jumped on the BlueSky train instead of the Mastodon bus, and I’m not going to have an X account so BlueSky it is.
I’ve tried several times and I’ve seen links to the download pages but none of the actual links work.
Wait, they’re not letting you stream because of your OS? That’s bullshit, I’d pirate it on principal at that point. No sense in waisting time trying to get your browser to report a different OS to work around it.
If they’re saying “own” on their advertisements then they should be required to refund you when they eventually have to take it away. I’m pretty sure “ownership” has a legal definition and it’s probably not too ambiguous.
It should at least be considered false advertising if they can’t guarantee access permanently.
Those results might be slightly skewed by alternate accounts. When I first joined during the Reddit Exodus I created this account on lemmy.world, but the instance suffered a LOT of downtime for the first month or so, so I created a few other accounts on lemmy.ml and sh.itjust.works so I could still browse while lemmy.world was down.
After the instance stabilized I pretty much stopped using the other accounts, so I, personally, am 2 of the people who “left” by leaving the other accounts inactive.
Awesome, Thanks!

It is the whole complete series on audiobook with the original British narrators, I’ve successfully created the torrent and now I’m just waiting to hear back from TG for permission to upload.
Sure thing, it’ll be a few hours yet though when I get home from work.
It’s the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett with original narrators (Stephen Briggs and Nigel Planer).
Audible has been replacing them with new narrators, and they switch narrators several times every few chapters in each book.
There’s still some of the originals around on audible but they’re slowly replacing them one at a time. It was difficult to find a complete collection and all in good quality from torrent sites before.
I’ve ripped them directly from the CDs so it’s (mostly) great quality with the exception of a few that were converted from older tapes. And all the extras like the science of discworld books and a collection of short stories by Pratchett too.

That may have been true in the past, but in the last 30 years I’ve watched a lot of companies that should have outright failed because they were terribly managed get a few dumptruck loads of taxpayer money to keep them afloat.
We’re well past the stage of “if they fuck themselves, let them fail” and deep into “If you’re not going to buy their shit, we’ll just take them money straight out of your paycheck”
Plex is just more user friendly than Kodi. And the real question should be why Plex instead of Jellyfin, and my answer to that is:
I've already set up the Plex server and it works, I don't really want to go through the trouble of switching over if everything is working fine the way it is right now
Most of the resistance to it on Reddit was because NSFL content was technically not allowed on the site at all and adding a specific tag for NSFL material could be seen at legitimizing it. But they didn’t heavily moderate it either so I don’t see the point in refusing a tag for it if they’re not going to do anything about it themselves either.
What really blows my mind though is the subset of people that want a NSFW tag to mean Gore/Death and a separate PORN tag for titties and such. I mean, we already have established terms for those so why not stick with what everyone already knows them by?
I don’t, sites like this are they best when their a hidden corner of the internet
