Tiny media manager for tv and movies
My main has been Linux desktop loading up steam big picture. But I don’t use streaming services, I serve everything up with jellyfin using the Kodi add-on. Used to be a htpc, now it’s steam deck.
In the lounge room we have an apple tv 4k which is where the kids can stream ABC Kids and the swiftfin client. We used to have a NVIDIA shield there but we moved to apple tv because goddamn the ads on Android tv make it one of the most horrible tv experiences possible.

Rolled up an Occultist in Grim Dawn a few nights ago. Good times, me and my partner finished the game during covid but haven’t played it since then.

This user has posted something like this 4 or 5 times this week

Faugus Launcher isn’t as popular as lutris and heroic but I find it works best for pirated games. It integrates well with the system so you can just right click an exe file and select Open With Faugus.

A while ago I told a young co worker that I just download whatever tv series I want, and since then they seem to be under the impression I have hundreds of USB thumbsticks lying around for storage. I hate to generalise but they really don’t seem to get anything about piracy.

Oh yes, I agree with your first assessment, just confused the person still wants to try the dodgy software instead of your better suggestion of gparted. No doubt that partition is done for.

But even if they don’t want Linux, still use gparted and not a dodgy sounding pirated partition software…?

I’ve been playing Stardew while I lay on the kids floor waiting for them to fall asleep.

Even last night we had a power surge and my nas went down. Back up with no errors, but I got real worried about HDD costs for a moment there.

Me and my partner spent a couple of nights to do like 10 minutes of every game, and we just thought so much of it was bad.
When we did the same thing again a year later, we were way more into it. I think it grows on you.

Final Fantasy vii, just bought it on gog. I think I first saw screenshots of it in a PC magazine almost 30 years ago.

I really liked DQ5. I played a translation on SNES emulators way back, but it was unfinished so it was a sloppy experience.
Went back to it when the DS remake came out, and I loved it. When I think of Dragon Quest I think of 5. I understand it’s part of a trilogy 4, 5, 6 as well but I didn’t play the others.
I’ve also played DQ3 on gameboy colour. I only played it halfway, but it was a good portable rpg for sure. I’d only played Final Fantasy Legend 3 on gameboy and this was much better. I just didn’t have much time for playing games then.

Used to have mIRC downloading music videos on the brand new 56k modem.

Yeah, every time. Add /trending or something to the address. It’s only the homepage that triggers that stream.ts thing

Anna’s Archive is the perfect place to find specific translations of ebooks. Something I hadn’t thought of the need for until recently.

I’ve only tried wine and GE-proton through Heroic, Lutris and Bottles. Always gives some wine error.
I’ve never tried it through Steam.

I have it on gog too, but I’ve been on Linux since 2009 and it just throws wine errors every time. The last time I was able to play it was on a Pentium M laptop I had from 2006 or something.

Interstate 76. I haven’t been able to get it working on any machine after the mid 2000s.
Yeah, Daggerfall is not a good map for comparison. Probably Morrowind.
