I get your sentiment and I don’t really like Bending Spoons either. But the reality is that they buy somewhat failing business that have absurd costs that they cannot offset with their revenue. Most tech companies are way too large for the things they do. That’s how Bending Spoons succeed; because they can get the same or more revenue with a fraction of the man power.
They don’t really “coast” on the income. They have the engineering and desire to run their investments very long term. Of course they still fire almost everyone, so if you even get a hint of them trying to acquire your company you should start looking elsewhere…

Hard disagree. Both Dota and CS2 are truly f2p, you get the same experience wether you buy stuff or choose not to. Of course the gambling stuff is predator, but the games themselves are great and actually free. You just want to buy a hat cause it’s fun.

I disagree. You are right that through federation and open source you can create your instance if another instance is a nazi bar. But now you open your new bar. Should you buy chairs from the nazis for your bar? Is it not a problem if the nazis are the only ones producing chairs?

Not really. The current map is very different from the WC3 days. Tormentors, Gateways, Outposts, the vision thingies, moving Roshan, bounty runes and the new jungle areas didn’t exist. The play style and game flow is very different to Dota 2 launch.
How does the AC check the BIOS version? If you have DMA you should be able to spoof that, even against the kernel I assume. I guess its a cat and mouse of spoofing detection by the AC versus the cheat devs?
The 900 and 1000 series are the worst for Linux as neither Nouveau nor the new Nvidia drivers will ever properly support the cards…
Debian ships only 550 and it has flickering in all games. But at least for regular desktop work it is fine. Guess I’m stuck with Windows until the “AI” bubble pops
Oh, is that still a problem? I thought my GTX 1070TI was having problems in games because Debian ships quite old drivers. But if that happens on Arch, I guess I’m out of luck with that card for Linux 🥲
You could still do sponsorships and Patreon, which for quite a few YouTubers are the main revenue sources. But of course if viewers don’t demand it there is no incentive to switch either.
Eh not really. Those are not some minimal wage employees that have no choice but to work for them. They are highly skilled and sought-after employees. Should companies be forced to employ people even when they do not need them? Sounds pretty silly to me. Instead just give everyone basic universal income and let them do something they choose.
