Nah, people here still have hearts and are better guided, and it’s rare that anyone feels bad for that guy from all the things I’ve seen posted today. Lemmy might be the best of the West, NGL… which probably means it’ll stay small.

Like about two years ago? I felt an obvious change, and the imperialistic Western narratives were being pushed constantly since then. At this point I’m thinking that the West is a test God put on the rest of the world, for reasons I don’t understand. 😔

Paranoid (?) but probably not entirely wrong take: “the limits of one’s language are the limits to one’s world”, the powers that be feel the need to more strongly control the acceptable narratives (TikTok got a huge amount of Westerners to root against “their team” for once concerning the Israeli occupation, for instance), and getting folks accustomed to censorship for the sake of censorship is step towards that direction.

I think he has some “baseline European racism” but I honestly don’t think he’s a foaming at the mouth with murderous intent, says the n-word with the hard r several times a day kind of racist. He’s just an extremely flawed sociopath on top of that. Openly saying racist shit is just like openly saying things like “God bless America” after a bomb-run on yet another sovereign nation: the dummies respond positively to it, and words are cheap, so why not do it? The only difference is that he’s definitely somewhat racist, but does not care about God or religion even the tiniest bit, lol.

I bet they think they’re just “following orders” like their forefathers…
