Now I can add a Plex integration. Finally my CD collection can return to winamp
I only wish it had Milkdrop
Assuming there’s no weird catch, this is amazing. I love winamp
Good game. It’s very unfinished, but I got my money’s worth from what is finished. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
The developer was smart and did a vertical slice, and completely blocked off the unfinished parts. Where as other devs do horizontal slices which means every part of the game is buggy and reputation ruining.
Good game, good dev, good development story. Would buy again.
My favorite is getting down voted for very mundane statements. Happens to me a lot on the cars and Halo subreddits.
I’ve encountered way fewer rude people on here than on Reddit.
I think SaaS with fallback licenses is a good deal for everyone. But those are rare so I agree
… why? They’re complete products that just sit there and make money for almost no effort
True. In college I once wrote C++ code that was slow
My hottest take is that PHP isn’t that bad, it’s just that the PHP most people have worked with was written by a teenager in a week and somehow grew into a whole company that they now have to maintain.
I loved cakephp.
I’d love to hear your reasoning. I don’t meet many java devs, so my opinion has definitely been formed in an echo chamber.
Open source needs some project managers to contribute their skills, imo. Contributing to open source made me finally understand how necessary PMs actually are. When left to our own devices, devs are… chaotic.
Because people only contribute to projects they care about, can get clout from, or use and want to fix something that’s bugging them. Lemmy is just too niche right now.
If in five years there’s still just the two devs then you may gloat and tell me I was wrong and I will accept the shame
Rust is rapidly gaining popularity and it’s popular with the type of people who would use Lemmy. There aren’t contributors because there aren’t many users.
Though like you said, time will tell
Meh. Java feels like a downgrade.
Most accurate piracy meme I’ve ever seen
2013 Netflix competed just fine. Piracy was mostly dead back then
