I have a similar issue (UK garden) where my cats have trodden a desire path into my lawn over years, plus some over-shaded areas from an evil combo of a fig and a buddleia.

I’m tempted to sow some clover, but equally I’m sure some lawn-gurus here might be able to advise on what would be best to keep some plant cover?

Flowers and a card - if my wife was a mother? I’d probably go a bit more high effort but what that means will depend on what she wants generally!

I’m also British so Mothers day has been and gone (it’s tied in with Easter here), and I don’t bother with the superfluous additional one…

I try to be conscious of lifestyle creep as I get older and somewhat more financially stable (lol), but good underpants are a big one.

Good boxer briefs don’t ride up, and if you get the ones with a special pouch for your meat and potatoes it’s very hard to go back!

Fair enough - I suppose it’s a caution borne out of experience of the awful roads by me - I’ve had a lot of unsealable punctures on the roads near me (from gashes to a bit of glass that wiggled around just enough to not seal).

As a result I always caveat advice to go tubeless - for “proper” punctures (anything more serious than a pin prick or snakebite) tubeless can be a can of worms, and give people a sense of confidence that inner tube users don’t have (wisely).

Granted it’s also down to tyre choice (you can pry my patched panaracers from my cold dead hands) but a tyre pissing sealant and air is much more of a hassle to deal with than an inner tube in my experience.

Tubeless is great for small piddly punctures. Anything bigger and a spare inner tube and tyre boot are a necessity (esp. on longer rides).

Don’t rule out running still! Cycling and swimming are both great but - especially as we age - our bone density tends to decrease and minor falls (or from a bike) can cause bigger issues.

It looks like this is actually the most common “repairable” part on earbuds, which is a little peverse. Ifixit has a few models which have replaceable cells (usually they take hearing aid batteries). The case which in my limited technical ability would appear to be theoretically easier to fix, seems to be a sticking point.

I guess that smooth lines and no screws is more important than keeping things going?

My cheap set looks to be glued down, strangely.

They look pretty decent to be fair; I should clarify that I’m not an audiphile in any way either, somif anyone comments that their audio quality is sub par I have to say that I’ve come to the realisation that being a perfectionist only serves to ruin the enjoyment of the okay.
