Just listening to the album again thanks to your post. Forlani is a killer track. I hadn’t noticed it before, but it reminds me a lot of a band called Burst from Sweden (I believe?). Their album prey on life also came out in 2003 and you may dig it if you haven’t already got into them.
I had to check which of their albums that was. My old bass player from back then introduced me to them. I remembered the mannequin looking guy from the Origio cover offhand, but seeing the Prey on Life cover he had that one as well. I haven’t listened to them since those days though so well worth a revisit. Thanks. 👍
Right? Might just be the circles I run in, but I don’t ever really see or hear these guys get mentioned, which is baffling for as good as they are.

I hear ya. Well its good to know that there are least 2 bass players in the world pushing Burst on to their band mates.
