I kinda don’t understand why there isn’t a modern lever action with a helical mag.
Many states have bans on high capacity magazines.
… Do they all explicitly ban both detachable and integral, internal mags?
For all action types?
If no, well then now you have a high capacity home defense / multipurpose carbine / rifle.
Like yes, ‘ahh waah helical mags are unreliable’ so fucking fix it.

EDIT: If a helical mag lever action truly proves too difficult to engineer… just copy kel tech’s dual tube integral magazine shotgun, with either lever or pump action, but… for something other than shotgun shells, like maybe just .357 or 30-30.
