It being ubiquitous does not mean it makes no sense. They can still say how and to what extent gen AI was used.

Valve moved into hardware long after its other ventures, so it’s not surprising the hardware devs make less – they’re newer. Still, $430k/yr is an enviable salary…

Played Vermintide 1 with friends. It’s a great game, improves on the L4Dead formula, and has really compelling characters. Would recommend.

I have a good history of admitting I’m wrong online. I do so freely and frequently. In this case I don’t believe I am wrong, so I will not.
GabeCube is a console and a PC.
You do realize this is just semantics right.

It says ...and it's a PC as a header. What do you think is the part that is implied before the ellipsis? This is clearly to complement the reader’s view of this being a gaming device (i.e. a console).

emphasis on “and.” It’s a console and a PC.

define “console.” I daresay that the phrase “console” exists largely to mislead consumers into the expectation that they can’t sideload apps and games onto their own device. Near as I can see, that’s the only real difference. But I can sideload onto my hacked 3DS and switch, are they not consoles anymore? I can run android and linux on the switch too.

My hope is that this leads to some improvements to the docked experience for the steam deck. Docked modestill has quite a number of bugs unfortunately.

My laptop doesn’t have an SD slot. Are they common?
That’s awesome. I’m a fan of nocaps, but don’t really know noclip very well .

I feel kinda bad for the GZDoom dev, who immediately reverted his unpopular commit which contained only about 5 lines of placeholder AI-generated code. The backlash seemed really disproportionate. I imagine it’s a straw-broke-camel’s-back situation, as he apparently had unpopular opinions about default settings.

Title says OpenMW by name.

certainly possible. I just think Gabe isn’t the only Gabe who works at valve.

meh, IDK. it won’t change the basic facts of the company, there will still be no stakeholders.

Way to shift the locus of blame onto the individual, batman.

If only all monopolies were so user-positive.
I suspect what’s unique in valve’s case is that they don’t have investors and board members and other stakeholders to lead them toward short-term profit maximization.

It’s essentially monotonic, so of course it’s an all-time high.

Derivative IP is so fucking different from gen AI. It’s stupid IP laws that force what could have been a commercial fangame to instead be legally distinct.
What are his intentions?
