RetroGaming@lemmy.world•What is the cheapest console to get and collect for that still holds up?English
7·2 months agoI play Gameboy advance all the time. And the Nintendo DS and DS lite can play GBA games for an even bigger library. Both you can find for around $40. Also flashcarts for DS is very cheap, I think around $15. GBA carts are around $30 I think.

22·3 months agoI don’t see the big deal. The game looks like a shitty asset flip anyway. We don’t need more of those on steam.

6·3 months agoHe was always disagreeing with everybody and getting into heated discussions so he didn’t have a great reputation to begin with. Also when people called him out for the AI code he went into a long rant. You can see how the conversation went online.

7·4 months agoKinda mean but I get why they’re doing it. The remaster is better in basically every way, but it does cost more money.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Ready or Not has sold 1 million units on console, 10 times faster than what was achieved on PC, proving that the 'censorship' was worth itEnglish
6·7 months agoTrue… I’m not happy about the censorship but I don’t really care because it’s not that bad honestly. However, the PC version looks a lot worse now because I guess they were too stupid to make a proper system in place were they could have a PC build and console build separately. I booted the game up and could instantly tell that the game looked worse than it did before, even at ultra.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Lossless Scaling's Frame Generation for Linux gets upgraded to the latest v3.1English
21·7 months agoNot a fan of framegen personally. I’ve been fine with just gamescope since they added the pixel art scaling. I haven’t really had a need for any other type of scaling filter in my experience.

RetroGaming@lemmy.world•What’s the best, reasonably priced, handheld device I can buy to play GameCube games?English
6·8 months agoSteam Deck. I suppose you could get a small emulation handheld but I think the steam deck is a better experience all around for like $200 used.

Is a little crazy it’s come to this but if you have to, ddr3 is still cheap.
