Generally, abusers make a lot of money, and sometimes can end up being louder than the actual victims. Because they make a full time job of being loud. Good luck getting your psychiatry victim association to the com budget of scientology.
Or competing with alpha-male-mindset-influencers who spend all their income on finding brand new ways of turning bad breakups and loneliness into various sales. I think they get by far the most public attention on those subjects, might be wrong.
There’s a bunch of similar situations with companies selling well-being stuff, conspiracy theorist news sites, etc.
I just wanted to point out it’s a general thing

They published this blog post that lists all the projects they supported, and calls for the community to submit projects to support in a form.
The blog post did not acknowledge the situation, but the list showed that they stopped supporting Omarchy and kept support for Hyprland. It was noted during the drama that Hyprland’s toxicity levels have dropped since they set up a moderation team. Their reputation might not represent them as they are currently.
I stopped following the events at this point, so if something happened after that, I’m not aware of it

Yeah. Yikes.
The advice is decent actually. It’s the non-advice comments that should just be deleted. Even the advice from that .ml guy is careful. Wouldn’t have caused any issue if someone didn’t pick the fight while fully aware that there will not be a resolution.

I remember having this bug on Debian, like, 7 years ago or something

Prettier but has a track record of having more technical issues. Also the devs are a company with absolutely no transparency. At some point there was so few communication that I thought they closed shop.
If you want a similar UI, I would advise going for a vanilla Gnome and adding the desired “Zorin *” extensions. It’s a bunch more work to setup but it feels more trustworthy to me.

It’s a defuckulated Ubuntu with a a dozen custom Gnome extensions. They do publish the extensions code. It exists because Mint is often ugly and not very ergonomic. See the “file” apps for both distros, Mint’s buttons are too small and the progress indicator is a tiny 16px icon in the status bar.

They’re just having fun

The developers of what? Is this a project to get Linux running on iPhones?

WHO DOWNVOTED THIS JESUS CHRIST

Looking at the news I would guess American houses are buit mostly out of loaded firerarms coddled together by zipties. And oversized fridges.

No? I just said it would be nicer if you precised the name of the distro when you have an issue. This way I’m less likely to recommand an unstable distro. That’s it.
You obviously can’t be expected to know what distro is stable or not, I don’t either

You should give the name of the distro rather than just say modern. Ubuntu is “modern” and they broke the auto-updates for everyone some months ago. It’s more about stability than modernity
"c'mon I just checked that three lines ago"

Oh my god, thank you.

Not really. The back cover for the FP3 is held in place by a few plastic clips, if you open it too much (like, 20 times?) they start breaking.

There is an organized effort for Fairphone. Luca Weiss here is the Fairphone-employed drivers mainliner. It’s awesome.
(however there is no public deadline on anything afaik)
Ah, that’s because Ubuntu Touch uses Android’s kernel. I don’t know if this should count as “Linux compatible”
Aw. Somehow missed it.
