Toward the end, when Pardo wasn’t feeling well, Darrell Hammond would fill in and do such a good impression, that it’s almost impossible to tell when it isn’t really Pardo. After Pardo’s death, Hammond took over the announcing duties full time, but uses his own voice. Everyone agreed that he shouldn’t continue the Pardo impression.
Yeah, I wanted to root for them, because Flacco coming off the couch to lead them to the playoffs was such a good story. But as long as Watson is on the team, I can’t and won’t root for them.
Buuuuuuuut the Kansas City/Miami game? Play on!
Yeah, it’s understood that in the victory formation, the offense is going to take a knee. There’s no need for the defense to try to play hard and risk someone getting hurt. Greg Schiano was the coach of the Bucs in 2012/13, and he had his team rush the line on kneel downs. He got crucified for it, lost his job for it (among other reasons), and hasn’t been back in the league since. These guys’ health is their paycheck, and if the Saints are going to pull this kind of crap, someone is going to get hurt. Jimmy Graham is being unnecessarily cavalier about it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Patriots part ways with BB (through trade, since I’m not sure they have it in them to fire him after all he’s done there), and bring in Vrabel. He’s a former Patriot after all.
I’d take him on the Falcons. He consistently spanked us in his hay days with the Panthers.
According to reports, Blank wants him in Atlanta, and, if I know Blank, he’ll do a trade.
He was hired because he was supposedly an offensive genius. In 3 seasons as not only the Head Coach but the Offensive Coordinator as well, he went 7-10 three times, finishing with a 21-30 record.
Number of playoffs appearances: 0
Number of 30+ point games: 0
Score of his final game (with still a small chance to make the playoffs): Loss to the Saints (ugh) 49-17.
The team was not improving. It was time to move on.
Headline I see: “Cowboys to retain Mike McCarthy”
Headline I see in my head: “Belichek says no to Cowboys.”
