That’s part of it. Never earning enough to live is the other. The economic disparity in the US is greater than it was before the French Revolution. No matter how hard younger generations work, they can’t earn money at a rate that exceeds price inflation and experience. 60% of this country is doomed to never get ahead and the other 40% just don’t realize it’s so bad for everyone else they’re killing themselves.

Yep! Co-op OR single player. Player 2 has an AI that scales as you level, so it’s still very fun as a solo experience 🙂
And it’s a shared screen, kinda like a 2 player beat em up.
And co-op works over Steam remote play. Only 1 copy of the game needed!
Actually, it’s not against the Steam EULA for me to sell Steam keys outside their platform. (As long as it’s me selling directly from my website). There even used to be 3rd party services that provided a way for you to sell your own steam keys on your own website without STEAM getting a cut. Last I checked, that was still an option with them. It’s somewhat of a loophole in their EULA, but they did use to encourage devs to sell keys themselves. Selling them through a third party is what breaks the EULA. But not private sales from the developer themselves.
Steam only has a problem is the dev sells more steam keys on their website then steam. Which I don’t think has happened yet.

The controls are what makes it a good purchase imo. Old arcade games often had unique controls like dials, or track balls that DO NOT translate well to a keyboard mouse or controller.
Playing OG Missile Command with an actual scroll ball is such a fun time. This hand held looks to give a bit of that back with their extra controls, so I am very interested.
Regardless of the game size and quality, HOW it’s played is what’s been missing from most arcade ports over the last few decades. Seems like they actually put some thought into this design imo! 😁

So here’s the thing. They can say whatever they want. Stores are still pulling Xbox hardware from sale. That is the canary in the coal mine. Microsoft isn’t coming back to the market after that. Especially not with an overpriced console that has no exclusives.
Their current trajectory, is almost identical to that of Sega’a post Dreamcast.
Sega did the same with Dreamcasts still on the shelf, had them discounted and removed from sale in stores while announcing they were still working on more hardware.
One year later: just kidding. SEGA now only make software / Sonic games.
Microsoft is absolutley just about to do the same with Halo and Xbox.
Here’s an article from Sega in 2001 about the death of the Dreamcast being overrated because of Segas future hardware plans (that later never materialized).

This study in 2009 concluded that kids are exposed to more estrogen in milk and food than water, so it shouldn’t be a problem to worry about. However, at least imo, it never looked at overall levels of estrogen intake increasing from all combined sources as water has certainly added to it at least marginally.
So that’s all to say, I’m not 100% behind this being all true, just that there’s actually quite a bit of valid scientific studies that have proven there’s now more estrogen in our drinking and waste water that seems to be at least corolated to our medical use of it.
So! It’s actually kinda crazy how accurate your professor might be. Because progesterone, the chemical in birth control, does indeed break down into estrogen under the right circumstances. The components of broken down progesterone pass through the body via urine, enter the water system, and - this is the important part - is far too small and difficult to be collected or filtered out of the water.
So people taking birth control have absolutley added an insane amount of estrogen to the water supply. And most tap water now does have low levels of estrogen in it because people have been taking birth control for 60+ years.
In that same time, the average age of puberty has continued to fall.
So, it sounds a bit wild, but that theory is far more feasible than most realize.
The funniest part about this comment is that’s how GAME pass has always worked. They offer it to titles for a lump cash payment in lieu of sales. Now that they own Activision, therefore BOPS6, they care about those lost sales.
When they didn’t make enough software for the last decade for it to be a problem for their bottom line, they didn’t.
But it sure as shit effected literally every game ever on Game Pass. It is and always has been a literal loss leader for every single game on it, they just now give a crap because one of those bigger games is finally theirs.
When Hi-fi rush exploded in popularity, it was because it was discovered on game pass. Where it then went on to be played by millions, while the team behind it made nothing, so Microsoft closed the studio. Literally because the game wasn’t profitable enough after MS decided to force shadow drop it on game pass at launch.
But sure, BOPS6, “lost” them millions on Gamepass and they care about how Gamepass affects the sales of that title.
