Yeah, I have also struggled with the way slskd handles its config file.

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Where my klitoris users at?English
19·14 days agoYeah, its a fun one, but it does have a logical reason.
PSX was the codename for the PS1, and what the internet community latched on to, especially after the PS2 came out and there needed to be clarity on which they were referring to.
One of the early PSX PC emulators decided to name themselves PCSX as an amalgamation of PC and PSX.
PCSX2’s team wanted to make a PS2 emulator on par with/inspired by (and maybe forked off of?) the PS1 emulator and decided to continue the naming convention.
And now we have the dislexia-unfriendly PCSX2 name.

Lemmy Apps@lemmy.world•Tesseract has been deleted following the banlist debacleEnglish
81·19 days agoI still cannot comprehend why the fuck you would feel the need to implement a block list on a frontend, instead of just making your own damn server and using that.
As I have told my more religious family members and a few coworkers - You are entitled to your opinion, and to practice your beliefs (or preferences, in this case) in your own home, but you can go fuck yourself if you feel the need to force those opinions on others.
Your actions are significantly more toxic and damaging to the fediverse than anything most of those on your fuck ass list have done.
You should delete your fediverse account and get off the internet, maybe you will end up a happier person more able to cope with life that way.

Can’t help with what’s good for comics, but for manga/manhua weebcentral and mangafire tend to have most everything.

7·28 days agoUh, you are aware that until recently, skirts actually had a hem, a removable/replaceable section of cloth at the bottom, specifically meant to touch the ground so a woman’s feet weren’t visible, right?
There are also entire cultural/religious outfits that to this day still touch the ground that are worn daily.
Just because its not a common sight where you are doesn’t mean it isn’t a thing any were else.

3·1 month agoYeah, I can’t think of anything I need windows for that doesn’t also need a real GPU to be useful.
And even then its only really 1 game, setting up looking glass was as much for tinkering amusement than actual use.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Immich v3.0.0 is out, with Workflows previewEnglish
20·1 month agoIn all honesty, immich’s very opinionated way of doing a compose file gives me so many headaches compared to pretty much every other docker app I use.
That’s easy enough, just loop the string around the stick after running it through the hole. Or be fancy and run in through the hole twice. Once the long strings are attached they will still be fully tense.
So uh, question?
Why not do it with 5 strings? 2 strings that are each the length of 3 of your short strings, and the 3 long strings.
Would be much faster to tie, and easier to do with something like stranded wire, plus you could more easily adjust the positioning before adding the final set of strings.
And if you were worried about them slipping around, you can just do the string in a loop around each hole as you run it through.

Personally, I wasn’t allowed to own a computer until well after Bleem! went out of business (from running out of money for legal defence against sony).
That being said, looking at wikipedia, Bleem! started first, so PCSX was the one that stole the look and feel of Bleem!
