In the piefed web interface, comments of crossposts are added to the post. This has its advantages, but can be potentially confusing, e.g. since a cross-poster can edit the original content, commenters may talk about stuff that’s not in the post you’re looking at. I like the way summit handles it as an alternative, since the “cross-posted X times” button is easily visible.
Same for me, both with a piefed and with a Lemmy account.
Notably, AI does it all the time when there isn’t any good reason to highlight a contrast, like here.
Throbbing_banjo was curious about their blocklist, they did not criticize anything. The reason for having a lot of lemmy.world users on there, as Eldritch said, is most likely statistics. You talk about being rational while battling made up phantoms.
None of the Lemmy/piefed apps I tried give me push notifications. Summit also doesn’t show a dot on the inbox in the app.
What’s the beef between beehaw and lemmy.world?
